Attended this park in 2016 / 17 but not high season with motorhome, no bar or pool open, this year 2018 booked in for 7 nights with motorhome July and what a difference bar open every one very friendly entertainment really good with varied disco and live duos 7 days a week who were very good all foot tapping stuff, bar prices very good cheaper than the pubs around.
Toilets / showers kept very clean and plenty hot water, we had to leave after 7 nights for a wedding but called day after to extend stay for 4 more days which they managed to find us a space so well done to the booking staff all very helpful.
Overall will be back in 2019 and look forward to it already.

Back for my 7th year and I was not let down. Family bathroom was everything it needed to be toilets were clean thankfully a new hand drier had been installed no more using your trousers to dry hands. Staff very friendly and especially Tony what an asset to have on the team. He remembered us from year to year and my youngest son (now 6) hunts Tony out as soon as we get there and has a photo with him every year before we leave. 2 minutes from the beautiful Watergate Bay and a 10 minute car ride into Newquay
Can't fault the site on anything the team are amazing thanks for a great week and we will see you next year

We arrived at the site on a breakdown truck after a horrendous journey from Yorkshire. The reception staff were so lovely and had immediately seen our predicament and checked us in immediately. The owner arrived promptly with his trusty tractor and hitched the caravan up and sited it for us. He then without question towed the car to our pitch and said if we needed any further assistance to contact reception. Luckily we managed to make arrangements for our smaller car to be brought to Cornwall for our holiday. During the time my husband was away back home bringing the car down I was asked by several members of staff if all was well and advised not to hesitate to ask should I require anything. I cannot thank everyone enough for their kind comments and offers of help. The site as usual was immaculate, The pool very clean & and the toilet blocks fabulous. We have had our main summer holiday at this site annually for 25 years and will continue to do so. A big thanks to everyone and we shall see you in 2019

We usually camp down here in July, this time we tried out the new camping podso on site . We hired the family pod which is equipped with TV, microwave, toaster and kettle. You have to bring your own utensils for breakfast etc, also tea towels and linen for the beds. The pod has a double bed which is built up against the back of the pod, if your not agile you may struggle to get up onto the bed, although it does have a wooden step to help. The pod also has 2 bunk beds. There's plenty of storage for all your gear. There's also a useful table which can be calapsed down when not needed. Outside it has a porch, if the weather is good you could leave shoes, surf stuff etc. Each pod has a brick bbq, you have to pay a deposit on this though, also a £10key deposit is held until you check out and return the key. If you have children but don't fancy camping out then this is ideal for you. The pod has a heater too, to be honest though it was warm and cosy without. We had pretty good weather so not needed to use. The pod also has 4 chairs which fold down and are easily stored. Will definitely use the pods again for a late summer or early spring break. The things that could be useful if you wanted to nit pick would be a small mirror in the pod, although you could go to the shower block, ladies don't always want to do this though. A small mat inside so your not taking any wet indoors. Minor things I know. As always we had a great break at watergate. Great area, campsite and the usual friendly staff. Oh the pod is dog friendly too

UK Campsite Reviews

Our first camping trip to the West Country and this site had everything. It is a big site but you don’t feel crowded. Excellent site for kids and families. Dog friendly and they even have a big dog walking field. The main club house has great entertainment in the evenings for all ages. The showers were excellent and well maintained. Onsite swimming pool was great for a raining mornings entertainment.

All in all a great site with easy access to Newquay and the rest of cornwall

First visit to this campsite. Spent just under two weeks here. Was greeted by two lovely receptionist. We chose this campsite not for its facilities but for the location and price. There's a good choice of pitches different sizes and different ampages on the hook ups. As did not use the swimming pool clubhouse and cafe, we cannot comment on those. The site shop had the necessities and was reasonably priced you could also get hot snacks bread etc. The toilet block was clean and with toilet washbasin and shower cubicles. The pitch was lovely and spacious. It drained well as we had a mixture of weather from hot sunny days to gale force winds and driving rain thankfully at night. Watergate Bay is within walking distance, we chose not to walk as it's down a steep narrow lane which is dangerous with small children. There is a minibus in the main school holidays but as you can imagine it's very popular and by the time you get to the beach you could have got there in the car and paid parking. There's a large car park but when the weather's good it soon gets full. Newquay and Padstow are only a short drive away. Morrison's in Newquay. It's near Newquay airport but the planes were not flying at night, it was no problem for us. Lovely coastal walks. Had a lovely holiday here. Staff are all helpful and pleasant. Would definitely return here again.

2015 introduced a newly refurbished swimming pool. Its new face lift has given you a stylish fun pool with a separate pool area for the little ones. There is also a secluded outside patio area with sun loungers. With the dome cover which can be rolled back when the sun is out, the pool is the place for perfect relaxation, whatever the weather!

The clubhouse is a contemporary bar offering a relaxed social area for all the family. It houses our nightly entertainment programme* and offers you a wide range of drinks and snacks ranging from your favorite tipple of choice to some fantastic local drinks from local breweries that you might not have tried before.

New for 2019, The Market Kitchen is being ran as a combined full restaurant/cafe, take away, and small shop offering the basic shopping essentials. Why not wake up to a fresh coffee and bacon roll, or even a hearty full English? Sounds good! Then after a busy day at the beach or discovering our enchanting countryside, treat yourself to freshly prepared steaks, burgers, and much more.

During the Main School holiday weeks at the end of July and August, we operate a FREE mini-bus to and from Watergate Bay beach. This runs five times a day at 11am, 12pm, 3pm, 4pm, and 5pm, seven days a week, so there is no need to pay to park your car at the beach car park.
